Can my spouse and I be joint owners of an account?

No. There can only be one account owner for each Embark account. However, an individual may be the beneficiary on multiple accounts. This means that each parent may set up a separate account for their child if they wish to do so. You can also identify someone as the Successor Owner of the account, or in other words, an alternative account owner should you pass away or become incapacitated. If you ever need to change the account owner, you can do so with our Change Account Owner Form (PDF).
